ZUKUNFT, DIE ERSTE
Und wo kann man besser über die Zukunft dieser Welt nachdenken als auf 2.620 Meter Höhe? Über den Wolken Ischgls diskutieren am 2. Februar hochkarätige Referenten bei der Konferenz ACF* – Architecture Corporate Foresight über Megacities und Trendforschung in Bezug auf Kommunikation, Design, Arbeitswelten und Gebäude. Zu Gast sind unter anderem UNstudio, Jürgen Mayer H., Bjarke Ingels Group, LAVA Architects uvm.. Und weil diskutieren alleine auch nicht glücklich macht, findet anschließend vom 3. bis 4. Februar in Ischgl die World Architects Masters 2012 statt – die zweite internationale Architektenweltmeisterschaft in Ski und Snowboard. So lässt sich Zukunft leben! Mehr Infos gibt es hier.

Über unser Verhältnis zur Natur und wie man mit dieser auch in Zukunft verantwortungsvoll umgeht, dreht sich alles beim Frankfurter Senckenberg Museum, eines der größten Naturkundemuseen in Deutschland. Da bis zum 200. Jubiläum im Jahr 2017 die Realisierung eines Erweiterungsbaus geplant ist, lädt das Senckenberg zu einem Expertentreffen ein: Erörtert werden bei der Senckenberg International Convention im Juni der „State of the Art“ in der Szenografie, der Medienproduktion und der Museumsarchitektur. Bis zum 31. Januar ruft das Senckenberg noch zum Call for Proposals für die Konferenz auf. Wer die Zukunft also mitgestalten will, sollte sich möglichst schnell melden > www.future.senckenberg.de
Und wir? Wir halten es ganz mit unserem Kumpel Captain Future und beantworten die Frage, wie es um unsere übermenschlichen Stärken, Mut und Kraft im neuen Jahr steht mit einem seiner Zitate: „Das hat wirklich nichts mit Wundern zu tun, das ist alles angeboren und anerzogen. In unserem 21. Jahrhundert ist so etwas eben möglich!“

FUTURE, TAKE ONE
Where is a better place to reflect about the future of the world than at an altitude of 2,620 metres? Above the clouds of Ischgl, top-class speakers will discuss matters of mega-cities and trend research with regard to communication, design, working worlds, and buildings at the ACF* – Architecture Corporate Foresight Conference on February 2. And as discussing alone is not making everybody happy, the World Architects Masters 2012 will take place in Ischgl on February 03 and 04 – the second international architects’ skiing and snowboarding world championship. FUTURE, TAKE TWO
At the Frankfurt Senckenbergmuseum, one of the largest natural history museums in Germany, everything centres around our relationship with nature and how it can be responsibly treated in the future. And with the realisation of an extension being planned until the 200th anniversary in 2017, the Senckenberg invites to a meeting of experts. At the Senckenberg International Convention in June, the “state of the art” in scenography, media production and museum architecture will be ventilated. The Senckenberg’s Call for Proposals for the conference is still on until is January 31. So, those who want to contribute to designing the future, should quickly register themselves at www.future.senckenberg.de
And what do we do? We agree with our buddy Captain Future and answer the question about how our superhuman powers, courage and strength are doing in the new year with one of his citations: "This really hasn’t got anything to do with wonders, all this is innate and acquired. In our 21st century something like this is still possible.”
Ausstellung Sielmanns Naturlandschaft Groß Schauener Seen
Über unterschiedlichste Medien ist es SW ARCHITECTURE und der Heinz Sielmann Stiftung gelungen, am Ufer der Groß Schauener Seen, eine atmosphärische Ausstellung zu realisieren. Bemerkenswert an der effektvollen Aufbereitung ist nicht zuletzt der äußerst begrenzte Raum, der den Machern der Ausstellung zur Verfügung stand. > Mehr
